Tasting Diversity
Our mission is to uplift the next generation of black winemakers, vineyard managers, cellar workers, and lab technicians as they navigate their unique journeys in the wine industry. We shine a light on today’s leaders while honoring the black trailblazers who have paved the way, creating a vibrant community that embodies diversity and passion—the very the heartbeat of wine culture.
Tasting Diversity’s inaugural event was a panel discussion Insights from Black Pioneers in the Wine World. Participating, left to right, were Dan Glover, winemaker and owner L’Objet Wines; Brenae Royal (at the time) Vineyard Manager, Monte Rosso Vineyard; Christopher Christensen, winemaker and owner Bodkin Wines; Angela McCrae, Executive Director, Association of African American Vintners; Rosaline Manoogian, Owner, Fog Crest Vineyard; with the moderator Jay Jackson, Wine News Noir, Los Angeles news caster
